✧ Two grandmothers came to Abu Bakr al-Siddiq: the mother's mother and the father's mother. He gave the inheritance to the mother's mother, to the exclusion of the father's mother. Abd al-Rahman b. Sahl, a brother of Banu Harithah, said to him: 'O khalifah of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, you have given to the one who, if she had died, would not inherit from her.' So Abu Bakr divided it between them.
