نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ نا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ نا أَبُو حَفْصٍ الْأَبَّارُ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ

الْخَلِيَّةُ وَالْبَرِيَّةُ وَالْبَتَّةُ وَالْبَائِنُ وَالْحَرَامُ ثَلَاثًا لَا تَحِلُّ لَهُمْ حَتَّى تَنْكِحَ زَوْجًا

Translation

  4. ʿAṭāʾ b. al-Sāʾib
  5. al-Ḥasan
  6. ʿAlī

✧ The khaliyyah (divorce by saying "you are free"), the bariyyah (divorce by saying "you are innocent"), the battah (divorce by saying "it is final"), the ba'in (divorce by saying "you are irrevocably separated"), and the haram (divorce by saying "you are forbidden") are threefold; she is not lawful for them until she marries another husband.
