نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ نا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ هَانِئٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَحْمَدَ بْنَ حَنْبَلٍ
يَقُولُ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ يَكْتُبُونَ النَّارَ النِّيرَ وَيَكْتُبُونَ الْبِيرَ يَعْنِي مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ وَإِنَّمَا لُقِّنَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ النَّارُ جُبَارٌ
Translation
✧ He says: The people of Yemen write 'al-nar' (fire) as 'al-nir' and write 'al-bir' meaning the same, and Abd al-Razzaq was merely prompted with 'the fire is without liability.'
