A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I had intercourse with my wife in Ramadan." He said, "Free a slave." He said, "I cannot find one." He said, "Then fast two consecutive months." He said, "I am not able to." He said, "Feed sixty poor people." He said, "I cannot find the means." Then a basket containing fifteen ṣāʿ of dates was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said, "Take this and feed it on your behalf." He said, "O Messenger of Allah, there is no one between its two lava plains more in need of it than us." He said, "Then take it and feed it to your family."
