حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ثنا أَبُو الْأَشْعَثِ ثنا الثَّقَفِيُّ ثنا هِشَامٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
أُمِرْنَا أَنْ نُعْطِيَ صَدَقَةَ رَمَضَانَ عَنِ الصَّغِيرِ وَالْكَبِيرِ وَالْحُرِّ وَالْمَمْلُوكِ صَاعًا مِنْ طَعَامٍ مَنْ أَدَّى بُرًّا قُبِلَ مِنْهُ وَمَنْ أَدَّى شَعِيرًا قُبِلَ مِنْهُ وَمَنْ أَدَّى زَبِيبًا قُبِلَ مِنْهُ وَمَنْ أَدَّى سَلْتًا قُبِلَ مِنْهُ قَالَ وَأَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ وَمَنْ أَدَّى دَقِيقًا قُبِلَ مِنْهُ وَمَنْ أَدَّى سَوِيقًا قُبِلَ مِنْهُ

✧ We were commanded to give sadaqat Ramadan on behalf of the young and the old, the free and the slave: a sa' of food. Whoever gives wheat, it is accepted from him; whoever gives barley, it is accepted from him; whoever gives raisins, it is accepted from him; whoever gives sult (a kind of barley), it is accepted from him. He said: And I think he said: 'Whoever gives flour, it is accepted from him; and whoever gives sawiq (parched barley), it is accepted from him.'
