✧ Ibn Umar prayed over seven funerals, men and women. He placed the men nearest to him and the women nearest to the qiblah, and arranged them in a single row. And he said: He placed the funeral of Umm Kulthum bt. Ali, the wife of Umar b. al-Khattab, and a son called Zayd b. Umar. The imam that day was Sa'id b. al-'As, and among the people that day were Ibn Abbas, Abu Hurayrah, Abu Sa'id, and Abu Qatadah. I said: 'What is this?' They said: 'The Sunnah.'
