قَالَ وَثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي عَلِيٍّ اللَّهَبِيُّ عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سِنَانٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ فُلَانٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
قَالَ كَبَّرَ بِنَا عُثْمَانُ وَهُوَ مَحْصُورٌ فِي الظُّهْرِ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ إِلَى أَنْ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ مِنْ آخِرِ أَيَّامِ التَّشْرِيقِ فَكَبَّرَ فِي الصُّبْحِ وَلَمْ يُكَبِّرْ فِي الظُّهْرِ

✧ He said: ʿUthmān, while he was besieged, led us in saying the takbir in the Ẓuhr prayer on the Day of Sacrifice until he prayed the Ẓuhr prayer of the last of the Days of Tashrīq; he said the takbir in the morning prayer and did not say it in the Ẓuhr prayer.
