machine translationAl-Walīd is Ibn Muslim, and Zuhayr b. Muḥammad; both are among the narrators of the Ṣaḥīḥ. However, the people of Syria narrated objectionable reports (manākīr) from Zuhayr, among them al-Walīd, and al-Walīd is a concealer of defects (mudallis) and he narrated it with the ambiguous wording "from" (ʿanʿanah), so it is not authentic.
