The Manners of Answering the Call of Nature

وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ - رضى الله عنه -
{ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -نَهَى "أَنْ يُسْتَنْجَى بِعَظْمٍ, أَوْ رَوْثٍ" وَقَالَ: "إِنَّهُمَا لَا يُطَهِّرَانِ" }
Translation
Narrated Abu Huraira (rad): Allah’s Messenger (saw) forbade us to use a bone or dung for cleaning and said, “These two things do not purify”. [Reported by Ad-Daraqutni who graded it Sahih].

صحيح. رواه الدارقطني (1 /56/9) وقال: إسناد صحيح. وفي "الأصل" رد على تعليل ابن عدي للحديث.
