How can you ask the People of the Book about anything, while your Book, which was revealed to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, is the most recent? You recite it pure, unmixed, and it has informed you that the People of the Book altered the Book of Allah and changed it, wrote the book with their own hands, and said, "It is from Allah," so as to sell it for a small price. Does the knowledge that has come to you not forbid you from asking them? No, by Allah; we have not seen a single man among them ask you about that which was revealed to you.
