حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ. وَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، نَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ، أَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ - يَعْنِي الْهَجَرِيَّ - عَنْ أَبِي عِيَاضٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ أَغْضَبُ كَمَا يَغْضَبُ الْبَشَرُ وَأَرْضَى كَمَا يَرْضَى الْبَشَرُ، فَأَيُّمَا عَبْدٍ لَعَنْتُهُ فِي غَيْرِ كُنْهِهِ فَاجْعَلْهُ لَهُ صَلَاةً وَأَجْرًا، أَوْ صَلَاةً وَرَحْمَةً

✧ O God, I am only a human being; I become angry as humans become angry, and I become pleased as humans become pleased. So any servant whom I have cursed not deserving it, make it a prayer and a reward for him, or a prayer and a mercy.
