حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، نَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، نَا أَبُو دَوْسٍ، قَالَ:
جَاءَنِي رَجُلٌ يُقَالُ لَهُ أَبُو مَعْقِلٍ فَقَالَ لِي: اكْتُبْ. فَكَتَبْتُ بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ، سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ: أَوْصَانِي خَلِيلِي أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ بِصِيَامِ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ، وَنَوْمٍ عَلَى وِتْرٍ، وَتَسْبِيحِ الضُّحَى.

✧ A man called Abu Ma'qil came to me and said: "Write." So I wrote: "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. I heard Abu Hurayrah say: 'My close friend Abu al-Qasim ﷺ enjoined me to fast three days of every month, to sleep on witr (odd-numbered prayer), and to glorify Allah in the forenoon (Duha).'"
