حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْأَزْدِيُّ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، نَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلَالٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ حُجَيْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

فِي قَوْلِ اللهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى: فَإِنَّ لَهُ مَعِيشَةً ضَنْكًا قَالَ: الْمَعِيشَةُ الضَّنْكُ الَّذِي قَالَ اللهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى أَنَّهُ يُسَلَّطُ عَلَيْهِ تِسْعَةٌ وَتِسْعُونَ حَيَّةً يَنْهَشُونَ لَحْمَهُ حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ

✧ Regarding the saying of Allah, Blessed and Exalted: “Then for him is a miserable livelihood” (Q 20:124), he said: The miserable livelihood is that which Allah, Blessed and Exalted, said: ninety-nine serpents are set upon him, biting his flesh until the Hour rises.
