حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ الْحِمْصِيُّ، نَا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، نَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو الشَّيْبَانِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:
وَدِدْتُ أَنِّي أُقْتَلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ، ثُمَّ أُحْيَا ثُمَّ أُقْتَلُ - فَرَدَّدَهَا مِرَارًا - إِذَا جُرِحَ الرَّجُلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ - وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ يُجْرَحُ فِي سَبِيلِهِ - يَأْتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَلَوْنِ الدَّمِ وَرِيحِ الْمِسْكِ

✧ I wish I could be killed in the path of Allah, then brought back to life, then killed—he repeated it several times—When a man is wounded in the path of Allah—and Allah knows best who is wounded in His path—he will come on the Day of Resurrection with the color of blood and the fragrance of musk.
