✧ What 'Abd al-Rahman al-A'raj narrated from Abu Hurayrah

وَبِهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

الصِّيَامُ جُنَّةٌ، فَإِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ يَوْمًا صَائِمًا فَلَا يَرْفُثْ وَلَا يَجْهَلْ، فَإِنِ امْرُؤٌ قَاتَلَهُ أَوْ شَتَمَهُ فَلْيَقُلْ: إِنِّي صَائِمٌ

Translation

✧ Fasting is a shield. When one of you is fasting on a day, he should not engage in obscene speech or act foolishly. If someone fights him or insults him, let him say: 'I am fasting.'
