✧ What 'Abd al-Rahman al-A'raj narrated from Abu Hurayrah

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ شَاهِينَ، نَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، نَا سُهَيْلٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَتَصَدَّقُ بِاللُّقْمَةِ مِنَ الْكَسْبِ الطَّيِّبِ فَيَضَعُهَا فِي حَقِّهَا فَيَتَلَقَّاهَا اللهُ بِيَمِينِهِ، فَمَا يَبْرَحُ حَتَّى يُرَبِّيَهَا كَمَا يُرَبِّي أَحَدُكُمْ فَلُوَّهُ حَتَّى يَكُونَ أَعْظَمَ مِنْ أُحُدٍ

Translation

✧ A man gives charity with a morsel from good earnings and puts it in its rightful place, and Allah receives it with His right hand. It does not cease until He nurtures it as one of you nurtures his foal, until it becomes greater than Mount Uhud.
