✧ “There will be a fitnah.” I said: “What is the way out of it, O Messenger of Allah?” He said: “The Book of Allah. In it is the news of what was before you and the report of what will be after you and the judgment of what is between you. It is the decisive criterion, not jest. If any tyrant rejects it, Allah will break him, and whoever seeks guidance in other than it, Allah will lead him astray. It is the firm rope of Allah and the wise reminder. It is the straight path by which desires do not deviate, and the scholars do not have their fill of it, and it does not become worn out by repetition, and its wonders do not come to an end. It is the one about which the jinn, when they heard it, could not refrain from saying: ‘Indeed, we have heard an amazing Qur’an.’ Whoever speaks according to it is truthful, whoever acts by it is rewarded, whoever judges by it is just, and whoever calls to it is guided to a straight path. Whoever holds fast to it is guided to a straight path.”
