نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ;
أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا جَاءَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَنَاخَ رَاحِلَتَهُ بِبَابِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَجَاءَ حَتَّى قَامَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ ; فَقَالَ: أَيُّكُمُ ابْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ ; قَالُوا: هَذَا الْأَمْغَرُ الْمُرْتَفِقُ. فَقَالَ: يَا مُحَمَّدُ إِنِّي سَائِلُكَ فَمُشَدِّدٌ عَلَيْكَ فِي الْمَسْأَلَةِ. فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: سَلْ فَقَالَ: أَسْأَلُكَ بِرَبِّ مَنْ قَبْلَكَ وَرَبِّ مَنْ بَعْدَكَ آللهُ أَرْسَلَكَ ؟ قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ نَعَمْ

✧ A bedouin came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, made his mount kneel at the door of the mosque, then came and stood before the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'Which of you is the son of 'Abd al-Muttalib?' They said: 'This fair-skinned one reclining.' He said: 'O Muhammad, I will ask you and will be harsh in the questioning.' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Ask.' He said: 'I ask you by the Lord of those before you and the Lord of those after you: Did Allah send you?' He said: 'O Allah, yes.'
