حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو قَالَ: نَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ قَالَ: نَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

لَا تَسَابَّ وَأَنْتَ صَائِمٌ، فَإِنْ سَابَّكَ أَحَدٌ فَقُلْ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ

Translation

✧ Do not insult anyone while you are fasting. If someone insults you, say: “I am fasting.” By the One in whose hand is my soul, the breath of a fasting person is sweeter to Allah than the fragrance of musk.
