حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي سُلَيْمُ بْنُ أَخْضَرَ، قَالَ: نَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ نُعَيْمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ:

أَنَّهُمْ سَأَلُوا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ: كَيْفَ نُصَلِّي عَلَيْكَ ؟ قَالَ: قُولُوا اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ، وَبَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ، وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ وَبَارَكْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَآلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فِي الْعَالَمِينَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ

Translation

✧ They asked the Messenger of God ﷺ: How shall we pray for you? He said: Say, 'O God, send prayers upon Muhammad, and bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You sent prayers and blessings upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim in all the worlds. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.'
