✧ Irak b. Malik from Abu Hurayrah

وَحَدَّثَنَا الْجَرَّاحُ، قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ: نَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خُثَيْمِ بْنِ عِرَاكِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

لَا يَنْفَعُ حَذَرٌ مِنْ قَدَرٍ، وَالدُّعَاءُ يَنْفَعُ مَا لَمْ يَنْزِلِ الْقَضَاءُ، وَإِنَّ الْبَلَاءَ وَالدُّعَاءَ لَيَلْتَقِيَانِ بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ فَيَعْتَلِجَانِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ

✧ Caution does not avail against destiny, and supplication avails as long as the decree has not descended. Indeed, affliction and supplication meet between heaven and earth and wrestle with each other until the Day of Resurrection.
