✧ I entered the mosque of Kufah, and there was Ali on the minbar, delivering a sermon to the people. In his sermon he said: 'O people, the best of you after your Prophet is Abu Bakr, and the best of you after Abu Bakr is Umar. If I wished to name the third, I would name him.' A group of people said: 'He only means himself.'
