✧ Ali entered the Rahbah after performing the Fajr prayer, then said to a servant of his: 'Bring me water for purification.' The servant brought him a vessel containing water and a basin. Abd Khayr said: 'We were sitting, watching him. He took the vessel with his hand and poured it onto his left hand, then washed his palms. Then he took it with his right hand and poured onto his left hand and washed his palms. Then he took the vessel with his hand and poured onto his hand and washed his palms.' Thus said Abd Khayr: He did not insert his hand into the vessel until he had washed it three times. Then he inserted his right hand into the vessel, rinsed his mouth, then inhaled water and blew it out with his left hand three times. He washed his face three times, and washed his right hand three times, then washed his left hand three times up to the elbow. Then he inserted his hand into the vessel until the water covered it, then raised it with what it carried of water and wiped it with his left hand. Then he wiped his head with both hands once. Then he took with his right hand and poured onto his right foot, then washed it with his left hand three times. Then he took with his right palm and poured onto his left foot, then washed it with his left hand three times. Then he took with his palm and drank from it, then said: 'Whoever is pleased to look at the purification of the Prophet of God, this is the purification of the Prophet of God.'
