✧ What Sa'id b. al-Musayyib narrated from Abu Hurayra

وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ:

مَنْ أَدْرَكَ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ رَكْعَةً قَبْلَ أَنْ تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ، وَمَنْ أَدْرَكَ - قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ: أَنَا أَشُكُّ - مِنَ الْعَصْرِ رَكْعَةً أَوْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ

Translation

✧ Whoever catches a rak'ah of the Fajr prayer before the sun rises has caught it, and whoever catches—Muhammad said: I have some doubt—a rak'ah or two rak'ahs of Asr before the sun sets has caught it.
