machine translationHushaym is a well-known man, and the imams wrote down hadith from him. In himself he is acceptable (lā ba'sa bihi), except that he was ascribed to concealment (tadlīs). He has various kinds of narrations, good hadiths and unusual ones (gharā'ib). When he narrates from a trustworthy person, there is no harm in him. Sometimes he is at fault, and some of his hadiths are found to be rejected (munkar) when he committed tadlīs in his narration from someone not trustworthy. But he is acceptable (lā ba'sa bihi), as are his narrations.
