✧ What Sa'id b. al-Musayyib narrated from Abu Hurayra

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَانِئٍ وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَبَّادٍ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ، قَالَا: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ سِنَانٍ الرَّهَاوِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

وُلِدَ لِنُوحٍ سَامٌ وَحَامٌ وَيَافِثُ، فَوُلِدَ لِسَامٍ الْعَرَبُ، وَفَارِسُ وَالرُّومُ، وَالْخَيْرُ فِيهِمْ، وَوُلِدَ لِيَافِثَ يَأْجُوجُ وَمَأْجُوجُ وَالتُّرْكُ وَالصَّقَالِبَةُ، وَلَا خَيْرَ فِيهِمْ، وَوُلِدَ لِحَامٍ الْقِبْطُ وَالْبَرْبَرُ وَالسُّودَانُ

✧ To Nuh were born Sam, Ham, and Yafith. From Sam were born the Arabs, Persia, and al-Rum, and the good is in them. From Yafith were born Ya'juj and Ma'juj, the Turks, and the Saqalibah, and there is no good in them. From Ham were born the Copts, the Berbers, and the Sudanese.
