حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ، نَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، نَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ:

خَدَمْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ تِسْعَ سِنِينَ فَمَا قَالَ لِي قَطُّ: أَلَا عَمِلْتَ كَذَا، وَلَا قَالَ: أَلَا فَعَلْتَ - أَوْ - لَمْ تَعْمَلْ كَذَا

Translation

✧ I served the Prophet ﷺ for nine years, and he never said to me about anything: 'Why did you not do such?' Nor did he say: 'Why did you do—or—not do such?'
