حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، نَا مُطِيعُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ، حَدَّثَنِي تَوْبَةُ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ: أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

انْظُرْ مَنْ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَادْعُهُ، فَدَخَلْتُ، يَعْنِي الْمَسْجِدَ فَإِذَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ ؓ، فَدَعَوْتُهُمَا فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِشَيْءٍ فَوَضَعْتُهُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ، فَأَكَلَ وَأَكَلُوا، ثُمَّ خَرَجُوا فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَاةَ الْغَدَاةِ

✧ Look for whoever is in the mosque and invite him. So I entered, meaning the mosque, and there were Abu Bakr and Umar ؓ, so I invited them both. I brought him something and placed it before him, and he ate and they ate. Then they went out and the Messenger of God ﷺ led them in the dawn prayer.
