حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ، نَا أَبِي، نَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي يَزِيدَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُوسَى بْنَ أَنَسٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ ;
أَنَّ الْأَنْصَارَ اشْتَدَّتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّوَاقِي فَأَتَوُا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لِيَدْعُوَ لَهُمْ فَأُخْبِرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِذَلِكَ فَقَالَ: لَا تَسْأَلُونِي الْيَوْمَ شَيْئًا إِلَّا أَعْطَيْتُكُمُوهُ فَلَمَّا سَمِعُوا مَا قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ قَالُوا: ادْعُ اللهَ لَنَا قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْأَنْصَارِ وَلِأَبْنَاءِ الْأَنْصَارِ وَلِأَبْنَاءِ أَبْنَاءِ الْأَنْصَارِ

✧ The Ansar suffered from severe irrigation channels, so they came to the Prophet ﷺ to pray for them. The Prophet ﷺ was informed of that, and he said: Do not ask me for anything today but I will grant it to you. When they heard what the Prophet ﷺ said, they said: Supplicate to God for us. He said: O God, forgive the Ansar, the children of the Ansar, and the grandchildren of the Ansar.
