وَبِهِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ;
أَنَّهُ مَشَى إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِخُبْزِ شَعِيرٍ، وَإِهَالَةٍ سَنِخَةٍ، وَقَدْ رَهَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ دِرْعًا لَهُ عِنْدَ يَهُودِيٍّ بِالْمَدِينَةِ، وَأَخَذَ مِنْهُ شَعِيرًا لِأَهْلِهِ، وَلَقَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ يَقُولُ: مَا أَصْبَحَ عِنْدَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَاعُ بُرٍّ، وَلَا صَاعُ تَمْرٍ، وَإِنَّ عِنْدَهُ يَوْمَئِذٍ تِسْعَ نِسْوَةٍ
Translation
Chain of narrators
- Anas
✧ He went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with barley bread and rancid fat, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had pawned a coat of mail of his with a Jew in Madinah and took from him barley for his family. I heard him say three times: 'No measure of wheat or dates has become available in the morning for the family of Muhammad,' and he had nine wives at that time.
