حَدَّثَنَا طَالُوتُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ، نَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ:
قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّا نَكُونُ عِنْدَكَ عَلَى حَالٍ، فَإِذَا فَارَقْنَاكَ كُنَّا عَلَى غَيْرِهِ، قَالَ: كَيْفَ أَنْتُمْ وَرَبُّكُمْ ؟ قَالُوا: اللهُ رَبُّنَا فِي السِّرِّ وَالْعَلَانِيَةِ، قَالَ: لَيْسَ ذَلِكُمُ النِّفَاقَ
Translation

✧ They said, "O Messenger of Allah, when we are with you we are in one state, but when we part from you we are in another." He said, "How are you with your Lord?" They said, "Allah is our Lord in secret and in public." He said, "That is not hypocrisy."
