machine translationIt is narrated by Shuʿbah, Ayyūb al-Sakhtiyānī, Khālid al-Ḥadhdhāʾ and Ibn ʿAwn, and there is disagreement about him. Shuʿbah said: from Anas b. Sīrīn, "I heard Anas." Ayyūb and Khālid said: from Anas b. Sīrīn, from Anas. Ibn ʿAwn differed from them, and narrated it from Anas b. Sīrīn, from ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd b. al-Mundhir b. al-Jārūd, from Anas. Ibn ʿUlayyah, Muʿādh b. Muʿādh, Ashhal b. Ḥātim and Ibn Abī ʿAdī said this. Ḥammād b. Zayd said: from Ibn ʿAwn, from Ibn Sīrīn, from Anas. Ibn Idrīs said: from Ibn Sīrīn, without naming him, from Anas. The correct statement is the statement of Shuʿbah and those who followed him.
