حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْقَطِيعِيُّ، قَالَا: نَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، نَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، قَالَ:

كَانَ أَبُو زِيَادٍ يُنْكِرُ الْحَوْضَ فَقِيلَ لَهُ: إِنَّ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي الْحَوْضِ، فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى أَنَسٍ فَسَأَلَهُ ؟ قَالَ أَنَسٌ: فَقُلْتُ: إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: إِنَّ لِي حَوْضًا مِنْ كَذَا إِلَى كَذَا

Translation

✧ Abu Ziyad used to deny the Hawd (the Pool), so it was said to him: 'Anas b. Malik narrates from the Prophet ﷺ about the Hawd.' He sent to Anas and asked him. Anas said: 'I said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: I will have a Hawd from such-and-such to such-and-such.'
