حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، نَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، نَا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ أَبِي غَلَّابٍ، قَالَ:
سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ فَقَالَ: هَلْ تَعْرِفُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ؟ فَإِنَّهُ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ، فَأَتَى عُمَرُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يُرَاجِعَهَا، قُلْتُ: أَتَعْتَدُّ بِتِلْكَ الْحَيْضَةِ ؟ قَالَ: فَمَهْ، أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ عَجَزَ وَاسْتَحْمَقَ. ؟

✧ I asked Ibn 'Umar about a man who divorced his wife while she was menstruating. He said: "Do you know 'Abd Allah b. 'Umar? He divorced his wife while she was menstruating. 'Umar came to the Prophet ﷺ and he ordered him to take her back." I said: "Is the waiting period counted from that menstruation?" He said: "So what? What do you think if he is unable and acts foolishly?"
