✧ That some people came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: O Messenger of God ﷺ, we entered this house while we had abundant wealth and became poor, and our number was many and our number decreased, and our relations were good and our relations became bad. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: It is blameworthy. They said: O Messenger of God, how can we leave it? He said: Sell it, or give it away.

machine translationAlso in it is Saʿīd b. Sufyān; Ibn al-Madīnī graded him weak (ḍaʿīf), while Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him in al-Thiqāt, and he reported Ibn al-Madīnī's grading of him as weak.

machine translationIn my view, Ṣāliḥ b. Abī al-Akhḍar made a mistake in this hadith; rather, al-Zuhrī narrates it from ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAbdullāh b. al-Ḥārith, from ʿAbdullāh b. Shaddād, as a mursal report (mursal).
