حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ، نَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، حَدَّثَنِي كَوْثَرُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ:
يَا ابْنَ أُمِّ عَبْدٍ، هَلْ تَدْرِي كَيْفَ حُكْمُ اللهِ فِيمَنْ بَغَى مِنْ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ ؟ قَالَ: اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ. قَالَ: لَا يُجْهَزُ عَلَى جَرِيحِهَا، وَلَا يُقْتَلُ أَسِيرُهَا، وَلَا يُطْلَبُ هَارِبُهَا، وَلَا يُقَسَّمُ فَيْئُهَا

✧ "O Ibn Umm 'Abd, do you know how Allah's ruling applies to those who rebel from this Ummah?" He said: "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said: "Its wounded are not dispatched, its captives are not killed, its fugitives are not pursued, and its spoils are not distributed."
