حَدَّثَنَا الْجَرَّاحُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، نَا أَبُو قُتَيْبَةَ، نَا ( إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ )، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ:

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا وَدَّعَ رَجُلًا أَخَذَ بِيَدِهِ فَلَا يَدَعُ يَدَهُ حَتَّى يَكُونَ الرَّجُلُ هُوَ الَّذِي يَدَعُ يَدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَيَقُولُ: أَسْتَوْدِعُ اللهَ دِينَكَ وَأَمَانَتَكَ وَخَوَاتِيمَ عَمَلِكَ

Translation

✧ When the Prophet ﷺ bade farewell to a man, he would take him by the hand and would not let go of his hand until the man himself let go of the Prophet's hand, and he would say: "I entrust to Allah your religion, your trust, and the seal of your deeds."
