وَحَدَّثَنَا حَوْثَرَةُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، نَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ جُوَيْرِيَةَ، نَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، نَا نَافِعٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ
كَانَ إِذَا خَرَجَ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى مِنَ الْأَضْحَى أَوِ الْفِطْرِ أَمَرَ بِالْعَنَزَةِ فَأُخْرِجَتْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى تُرْكَزَ فِي الْمُصَلَّى، وَكَانَ فَضَاءً لَيْسَ دُونَهُ شَيْءٌ يَسْتُرُهُ، وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي إِلَيْهَا
Translation

✧ When he went out to the prayer place for al-Adha or al-Fitr, he would order for the spear, and it would be brought out in front of him until it was set up in the prayer place. It was an open space with nothing behind it to screen him, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would pray toward it.
