وَحَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ، نَا أَبُو عَتَّابٍ، نَا مِسْكِينُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
لَقَدْ نَزَلَ لِمَوْتِ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ مَلَكٍ، مَا وَطِئُوا الْأَرْضَ قَبْلَهَا. وَقَالَ حِينَ دُفِنَ: سُبْحَانَ اللهِ، لَوِ انْفَلَتَ أَحَدٌ مِنْ ضَغْطَةِ الْقَبْرِ لَانْفَلَتَ مِنْهَا سَعْدٌ

✧ For the death of Sa‘d b. Mu‘adh, seventy thousand angels descended who had never before set foot on the earth. And when he was buried, he said: “Glory be to Allah! If anyone could have escaped the pressure of the grave, Sa‘d would have escaped it.”
