حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، نَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، نَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:

كُلُّكُمْ رَاعٍ وَكُلُّكُمْ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ، فَالْأَمِيرُ الَّذِي عَلَى النَّاسِ رَاعٍ وَهُوَ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ، وَالرَّجُلُ رَاعٍ عَلَى أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ وَهُوَ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْهُمْ، وَالْمَرْأَةُ رَاعِيَةٌ عَلَى بَيْتِ زَوْجِهَا وَهِيَ مَسْئُولَةٌ، وَالْمَمْلُوكُ رَاعٍ عَلَى مَالِ سَيِّدِهِ وَهُوَ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْهُ، فَكُلُّكُمْ رَاعٍ وَكُلُّكُمْ مَسْئُولٌ

Translation

✧ All of you are shepherds and all of you are responsible for your flock. The commander over the people is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. The man is a shepherd over his household and is responsible for them. The woman is a shepherd over her husband's house and is responsible. The slave is a shepherd over his master's property and is responsible for it. So all of you are shepherds and all of you are responsible.
