✧ The Day of Ashura was a day the people of the Jahiliyya used to fast. When the fast of Ramadan was obligated, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked, and he said: 'It is a day from the days of Allah, so whoever wishes may fast it, and whoever wishes may leave it.'
