machine translationThe hadith of Nāfiʿ from a muezzin of ʿUmar, which ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. Abī Rawwād and ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿUmar narrated from Nāfiʿ, is more sound (aṣaḥḥ) than the hadith of Ayyūb from Nāfiʿ, for Ḥammād b. Salamah erred (wahima) in his narration from Ayyūb. The expert memorizers (ḥuffāẓ) agreed that Ḥammād b. Salamah was mistaken in this narration. Al-Tirmidhī said in his Jāmiʿ: "The hadith of Ḥammād b. Salamah is not preserved (ghayr maḥfūẓ), and the sound one (ṣaḥīḥ) is what ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿUmar and others narrated from Nāfiʿ, from Ibn ʿUmar, that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Indeed Bilāl calls the adhān at night, so eat and drink until Ibn Umm Maktūm calls the adhān.'"

machine translationAs for the hadith of Ḥammād, it is an error, known as one of his mistakes. The origin of the hadith is from Nāfiʿ, from Ibn ʿUmar.
