حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِشْكَابَ، نَا شُجَاعُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ
أَنَّهُ وَجَدَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ بَرْدًا شَدِيدًا، فَأَمَرَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ فَأَذَّنَ بِمَنْ مَعَهُ وَقَالَ: صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ، فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا كَانَ مِثْلُ هَذَا أَمَرَ النَّاسَ فَصَلَّوْا فِي رِحَالِهِمْ
Translation

✧ One night he found [there was] severe cold, so he commanded the mu'adhdhin, and he gave the call to prayer with those who were with him, and he said: 'Pray in your dwellings, for the Messenger of God ﷺ, when it was like this, would command the people and they would pray in their dwellings.'
