✧ I spent the night at my maternal aunt Maymunah's. The Prophet ﷺ got up during the night to pray, so I performed ablution and went and stood on his left. When he realized that I wanted to pray, he moved me to his right. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed and performed witr with five or seven [rak'ahs], then he moved me, then he slept until I heard his snoring. Then the prayer was announced and he prayed without performing ablution. Sa'id said: Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was protected.
