حَدَّثَنَاهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَعَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَا: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: نَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:

لَوْ أَنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ إِذَا أَتَى أَهْلَهُ قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ جَنِّبْنِي الشَّيْطَانَ وَجَنِّبِ الشَّيْطَانَ مَا رَزَقْتَنِي ثُمَّ كَانَ بَيْنَهُمَا وَلَدٌ، قَالَ شُعْبَةُ: لَمْ يُسَلَّطْ عَلَيْهِ الشَّيْطَانُ، أَوْ لَمْ يَحْضُرْهُ الشَّيْطَانُ

✧ If one of you, when he goes to his wife, says: 'O Allah, keep the devil away from me and keep the devil away from what You provide me,' then if a child is decreed between them, Shu'bah said: the devil will not be given power over him, or the devil will not attend him.
