✧ I spent the night at my maternal aunt Maymunah's house and said, “I will certainly observe the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.” A cushion was placed for me, and I slept along its length, while he and his family slept. Then he got up in the middle of the night, or shortly before it, or shortly after it, and began wiping the sleep from his face. Then he recited the last verses of Al 'Imran until he finished. Then he got up, went to a hanging waterskin, took it, and performed wudu. Then he stood and prayed, and I got up and did as he had done. Then I came and stood at his side, and he placed his hand on my head, then turned me around and put me on his right. Then he prayed two rak'ahs, then two, then two, then two, then he performed witr.
