✧ Jibrīl was sitting with the Prophet ﷺ when he heard a sound and raised his head. He said: This is a gate of heaven that has been opened, never opened before except today. An angel descended through it and greeted him. Jibrīl said: This is an angel who has never descended to earth except today. He said to the Prophet ﷺ: Rejoice in what no one before you was given: the closing verses of Sūrat al-Baqarah. I think he said: No one will recite them and ask for anything except that it will be given to him.
