✧ Indeed Makkah is sacred; Allah made it sacred on the day He created the heavens and the earth and the sun and the moon. It was not permitted to anyone before me, nor will it be permitted to anyone after me. It was only permitted to me for an hour of the day, then it returned to being sacred. Its fresh herbage is not to be cut, its trees are not to be chopped down, its game is not to be startled, and its lost property is not to be picked up except by one who announces it. Al-Abbas said: Except for the idhkhir, O Messenger of Allah, for the people of Makkah cannot do without it. He said: Except for the idhkhir.
