حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: نَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ عَنْ دَاوُدَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ:
أَتَتِ الصَّبَا الشَّمَالَ فَقَالَتْ: مُرِي حَتَّى نَنْصُرَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتِ الشَّمَالُ: إِنَّ الْحَرَّةَ لَا تَسْرِي بِاللَّيْلِ، فَكَانَتِ الرِّيحُ الَّتِي نُصِرَ بِهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الصَّبَا
Translation

✧ The east wind came to the north wind and said: 'Command me so that we may support the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.' The north wind said: 'The hot wind does not blow at night.' So the wind with which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was supported was the east wind.
