Chain of narrators
  1. Hārūn b. Sufyān
  2. Yaḥyá b. Isḥāq

✧ Ḥammād b. Salamah narrated to us, from Qatādah, from Anas. And this ḥadīth—I think that Yaḥyā b. Isḥāq made a mistake in it. As for Saʿīd b. Bashīr, no ḥadīth of his is used as evidence when he alone narrates it. The preserved ḥadīth is the one narrated by Ḥammād b. Salamah and others, from Qatādah, from Anas, that the Prophet ﷺ said: "When one of you prays, let him not spread his forearms like a dog or a beast of prey spreads them." This is the ḥadīth as we have it, and Allah knows best.
